3 Free May Events for Families in Palo Alto
The City of Palo Alto is hosting several free family-friendly events during the month of May, and we just had to share them with you.
1. May Fete Parade (May 7th)
This annual parade and fair is back with the theme “what emPOWERS you?”. From the City of Palo Alto: “The 2022 May Fete parade will be held Saturday, May 7th at 10:00AM along University Avenue in Downtown Palo Alto. Gather your family or friends and show off your float making skills and take-home big prizes! No group? No problem! Walk with the City of Palo Alto’s Friends, Family and Pets category – we’d love to have you!” The parade will end with a fair full of fun activities including a scavenger hunt, food trucks, music, games, and prizes!
2. Party in the Park
The Party in the Park will take place on May 14th at 11 a.m. We’re especially excited about this one because it’s a grand opening celebration for Rinconada Park, the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, and the Voyage Solar System Model. Activities will include tours of the Junior Museum & Zoo, live music, free ice cream, animal encounters, and family-friendly entertainment. Enjoy the Saturday morning sunshine, enjoy a tasty treat, and celebrate our grand opening at the Party in the Park. Reservations are not required.
3. Palo Alto Art Centers’ 50th Birthday Party (May 15th)
Did you know that the Palo Alto Art Center is 50 years old this month? Join the Palo Alto Art center for a free community celebration on Sunday, May 15th from 3-5pm. Activities will include hands-on art activities, studio demonstrations, sweet treats, and the chance to view the Art Centers’ current exhibition.
