Bruno the Snapping Turtle Exhibit

Bruno the snapping turtle is going to have a new home! We plan to construct the snapping turtle exhibit in the Dinosaur Garden. While we anticipate completing the main structure within this period, the interior may require an additional week to finish. The exhibit is designed to allow visitors to observe the snapping turtle in the water through a window, reflecting its natural habitat. Artificial logs will be included to enable the turtle to move onto an elevated land area for further viewing opportunities. Although snapping turtles are not dinosaurs, they share a distant common ancestor, making them evolutionary cousins rather than direct descendants. Stay tuned for updates!

  1. They can survive months without breathing during hibernation.
  2. Snapping turtles can make sounds like they are singing.

  4. They are not picky eaters and can eat anything from plants, fish, frogs, and worms.
  5. Snapping turtles cannot retract in their shells fully, so instead, they snap!
