A special area for crawlers to new walkers, the Baby’s Meadow has activities geared just for babies. Surrounded by oversized grass, babies and toddlers can pull levers to activate animals in dioramas, crawl into a kaleidoscope, feel textures, create the sound of rain, and get nose-to-nose with fascinating animals —like meerkats, frogs and rats. A special treehouse loft designed just for babies gets them up high to look out onto the Exhibit Hall and meerkat enclosure.
Calming Nooks in the museum and the zoo provide a quiet place for families to take a break. While all are welcome, the Calming Nook areas are designed for children with sensory sensitivities and nursing mothers.
There is a family restroom, complete with changing table, in the Dawn Redwood Courtyard. Infant changing tables are also available in the women's and men's restrooms located inside the Museum.
We have designated stroller parking throughout the museum. Please do not leave valuables in your stroller as we are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
