Get up close with our fabulous flock in the Wildlife Circle! This private experience invites your group to step into the world of the American Flamingo. Guided by one of our expert Animal Care Specialists, you will learn about the unique behaviors of these colorful birds, their wild counterparts, and the individual personalities that make our flock so special.
Best of all, you will have the opportunity to offer them a snack! It is a rare chance to see the flock from a whole new perspective and capture the perfect photo with the exhibit all to yourselves.
In order to reserve a flamingo feeding, please pick a date in the calendar where you purchase your General Admission tickets and click "Private Flamingo Feedings" to see if a flamingo feeding is available. You will need to purchase/reserve a General Admission ticket or Member ticket in addition to the private flamingo feeding.

At the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, our animals’ comfort always comes first. We provide a set amount of food for the feeding, but participation is entirely the flamingos' choice.
Voluntary Participation: Sometimes the flock just isn't hungry, and we respect that!
The Wild Card: If the birds decide not to eat during your visit, we won't leave you empty-handed. We will activate our "Wild Card" and bring out a different Animal Ambassador for a special up-close encounter. This ensures your group still gets a memorable, hands-on connection with nature, even if the flamingos are feeling shy.
